A Note From the Editor
EAA Warbirds Squadron One Fly-In Heralds Start of SummerBy Harold Cannon, Editor - Warbirds Briefing, EAA 466240

The end of June around here is a time of relief and anticipation. Relief because our annual Owensboro Warbirds Fly-In in Kentucky is done, anticipation because EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is right around the corner.
This year’s fly-in went great! The rain held off, and we were blessed with 21 T-34s, a BT-13, two Stearman PT-17s, an AT-11 Kansan, two L-birds, two Yaks/CJs, an L-39, and the proverbial partridge in a pear tree. If you have the opportunity to host a fly-in, do it! It’s quite a lot of work, but how rewarding! Seeing old friends, making new ones, hosting a meeting of our Warbird Squadron – there’s just no way to explain how much fun it is.
The hangar cleanup is done, and the next excitement on the horizon is the big one: AirVenture. With that in mind, this issue is packed full of great AirVenture information including the AirVenture NOTAM, the Warbirds schedule of events, and much more to help make your AirVenture experience a great one. Hope to see you there!
